During this ‘masculine,’ or outward era, the genuine life giving feminine essence of Ra was subdued, changing human expression from feminine wisdom and power to masculine logic and force. 

Both male and female bodies hold these aspects: inner wisdom and outward force. Egypt presented a masculine Sun God Ra, which was to be worshipped as a god outside of the self, often associated with pharaohs. This is the opposite of the feminine era when the Light of Creation, Ra, was honored within the self to cultivate and give birth to new forms of creativity, expansion, inner knowing and expressions of life within men and women alike.

The Sun is seen as the light and power of this solar system, birthing, feeding and sustaining life. The Light of Ra is also symbolic of the Light within humanity that powers our own heart, Spirit and our bodies. All Spirits of Light were birthed by Ra, Creation itself; often symbolized by the Sun.
