The Spirit of George Washington accomplished two very important feats for America:

When Libya was granted its independence by the United Nations on December 24, 1951, it was described as one of the poorest and most backward nations of the world. By the end of Muammar Gaddafi’s tenure, Libya boasted the highest standard of living and it was debt free.

After a peaceful coup to remove the Old Empire Western Backed Senussi Monarchy of Idris in 1969, Gaddafi converted Libya into a Republic governed by his Revolutionary Command Council. He guided Libya as a Chairman of the Arab Republic from 1969 to 1977, then resigned as a political leader and chose to act in guardianship of the people under the title Brotherly Leader and Guide. Not President, not Prime Minister or King. His friendly title stood as a constant reminder that he served the people as their protector and servant to support life, liberty, justice and freedom.
Gaddafi Transformed Libya into a state called Jamahiriya, meaning: state of the masses, or state for the people.

Perhaps this was his version of the Libyan Constitution, securing people’s rights.

Clinton on Qaddafi: “We came, we saw, he died. Ha ha ha ha.”
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton shared a laugh with a television news reporter moments after hearing deposed Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi had been killed.
“We came, we saw, he died,” she joked when told of news reports of Qaddafi’s death by an aide in between formal interviews.
Clinton was in Tripoli earlier this week for talks with leaders of Libya’s National Transitional Council (NTC).
The reporter asked if Qaddafi’s death had anything to do with her surprise visit to show support for the Libyan people.
“No,” she replied, before rolling her eyes and saying “I’m sure it did” with a chuckle.
