____________
At the Precipice we go willingly, stripped of all illusions; WE ARE FREE.

Most of us have watched a friend self destruct, unable to do anything but watch:
Let’s say you have a friend, ERICA, who connects with a man she has admired for years, often seeing him on television advertising used sports cars. He’s familiar to her so she feels safe. The used car salesman has a flashy smile and prestige, but not much else is known about him… giving ERICA the opportunity to build in her mind the ideal man around his image and his commercials. After years of fantasizing about how perfect he would be for her, she meets him and can’t believe her luck when he asks her on a date.
You watch ERICA bubble over with elation, thrilled beyond any level of excitement previously expressed, and your heart drops. You know this used car salesman. You know his history, his vile nature, what happened to his first wife and children. You suggest ERICA run a background check before she agrees to allow him into her home. ERICA appears offended, assumes you are stupid, jealous or don’t know what you’re talking about. YOU are now a problem. She avoids you for months.
You see ERICA at the gas station looking frazzled. The used car salesman, Brandon, moved in after their second date, not wasting any time. ERICA is now working an extra night job to support him as used car sales have dropped. You wish her well and notice the deCONstruction of ERICA has begun.
The next week your neighbors brother who lives next door to ERICA reports loud parties with thugs and creatures who don’t appear quite normal or human flooding into ERICA’s house each night while she works to cover Brandon’s bills. The house is becoming a shambles as ERICA is no longer home tending to the garden or the home.
Weeks later you see ERICA at the market with a cart filled with heavy liquor and Cheerios. You notice needle marks on her arm. She has lost a tremendous amount of weight, is sullen and trembling with dark circles under her eyes. Not quite herself, she sees your look and breaks down crying.
“He said he was losing patience with me because I refused to shoot drugs with him. He said I was either with him or against him. I had to do it. First he said just try it once and I’ll back off. But then he wanted me to do it a second time and a third time and he’s hinting about more to come or he wont be pleased. He means well, and I am sure he has my best interest in mind. He is going through a hard time too and I don’t want to disappoint him.”
You suggest it’s not a good sign that Brandon is pressuring her to take drugs and she gives a disapproving glance…with a sharp angry eye follow up as your words sink in.
“I’m doing just fine. You’ll never understand. I’m happy. I chose Brandon because I know he’s a good person. He has had a hard life. Almost every day he cries and tells me about how he lost his son.”
The newspaper arrives the next day and Brandon is on the cover with the headline, FRAUD, MONEY LAUNDERING, CHILD TRAFFICKING, PEDOPHILIA, WARRANT FOR ARREST IN UKRAINE.
You call ERICA quite concerned and she assures you she has fact checked this and the investigators have it all wrong. She believes her ex husband is jealous of Brandon and must be trying to frame him. Brandon is close with some ABC buddies. They make it all go away, claiming the paper was putting national security at risk. The News Paper building catches on fire the next week and no one else prints a word about Brandon. ERICA flaunts the proof that Brandon is clearly innocent and doubles down on her support of him.
Not long afterward you see ERICA coming out of a drug treatment center. You ask if she is o.k… Silence for over a minute. You wait.
“They are taking my kids away from me. My son told my ex that Brandon touched him inappropriately and gave him drugs. My ex got the authorities to take my kids.” She sobs and then continues.
“My dog died two weeks ago. One of Brandon’s drug buddies ran him over. I didn’t find him until the next day. He must have suffered all night. I could have saved him but I was crashed on the couch and couldn’t move. Brandon is all I have left. I need him now more than ever.”
You let ERICA know you are here for her if she decides to leave Brandon. She can stay with you until she gets back on her feet. She staggers away angry that you’re still questioning her choice.
A few months later ERICA’s house is repossessed. Brandon has taken to beating her and she is now in the hospital with tubes up her nose. You visit her and ask if she would like to stay with you until she is better.
ERICA is indignant. “Brandon is finding us a new home right now and he says it won’t cost me anything. He will take care of me. I don’t need your pity or your charity. Stay away from me.”
You leave your number just in case she changes her mind and ask the nurses to take extra good care of her. She is still under the spell of her original vision of who and what Brandon would be. The perfect man she had fantasized about for years; emblazoned in her imagination through the television, a flashy smile and beautiful shiny cars. That image is still exactly what she wants. ERICA has not reached the precipice yet. She’s still sustaining the dream.
One of the most dangerous things in this world is a self destructive illusion ingrained and supported by the mind.
Days later ERICA’s brother shows up at your doorstep. You invite him in. He tells you Brandon convinced ERICA to put his name on her bank accounts and once the paper work was complete he tried to kill her and make it look like suicide. He left her for dead and celebrated over dinner with his rich sexy new girlfriend.
The brother showed ERICA the images and she broke down. Finally she saw the real Brandon. Her dreams were shattered. She had reached the precipice of her illusion and only now could she hear what those around her had been trying to convey. Only now could she extricate Brandon from her life completely and begin to rebuild.

Sometimes this is what it takes for people to wake up, and until they do, they will fight, blame, curse and attack anyone who doesn’t support their illusion. Now you see why it had to be this way. We are almost there.
Currently, the suggestion of a $450,000 gift to every illegal alien crossing the border into AmERICA while American’s are on their knees, fearing for the safety of their children, their health, wealth and livelihood, with an ongoing massive influx of illegal immigrants, (many convicted criminals,) with the threat of even higher taxes and mandates the aliens are not subjected to, may push AmERICA to the edge of the precipice, recognizing the house is about to be repossessed, the children are about to go away forever, the dog has been tortured and died, the jabs, double standards, mandates and insanity will continue to escalate while no promise is ever kept.
Almost there. Be ready to help those now awakening from their dream.
