____________

____________
“ Siemens® pattern of bribery was unprecedented in scale and geographic reach.”
~ The Director at the Security Exchange Commission
____________
“Picture this: Siemens®, the engineering giant once admired for its high-tech gadgets and rock-solid services, suddenly becomes the poster child for corruption. This isn’t just a case of a company gone astray — it’s the tale of one of the most elaborate, global bribery schemes ever seen…bribery wasn’t the exception — it was the strategy.”
~ Truthfully.com
Bribes were a NORMAL and REGULAR part of business at SIEMENS, channeled through hidden bank accounts, intermediaries, pseudo consultants, slush funds, off the book accounts, fake labels such as consulting fees or legal expenses, while gaming market shares and increasing prices through loopholes in the legal system. No region escaped the reach of Siemens.
For years, the company’s accounting books reflected bribes as routine “expenses,” masking the truth from auditors, shareholders, and regulators alike.
____________
“Paying a bribe was customary in practically all business units at Siemens AG.”
~ Reinhard Siekaczek, Siemens employee
____________
“Corruption involved more than $1.4 billion in bribes to government officials in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.” (With more investigations into corruption launched in Israel, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Taiwan, China, Nigeria, Italy, Greece, Liechtenstein, Libya, Argentina, Venezuela and Russia.)
~ The Director at the Security Exchange Commission
Misconduct involved employees at all levels, including former senior management, revealing a corporate culture long at odds with the FCPA. Yet, SIEMENS appeared so squeaky clean on the outside, it was selected to become a corporate member of TRANSPARENCY INTERNATIONAL, an NGO created to fight corruption.

NAZI COLLABORATION
____________
Circa 1940’s
Employees of the German company Siemens were investigated for espionage by MI5 during World War II, following an anonymous letter from Chile suggesting the company had a “clandestine wireless installation.” Siemens had branches all over the world in the 1930s and 1940s, assisting the Nazi regime in its foreign policy and war objectives.
Suspicious activity was also reported in Siemens branches in Georgia, Spain, Switzerland, Egypt, Panama and Argentina during World War I. In 1914 Siemens was involved in a scandal over bribing Japanese naval authorities.
British intelligence feared German companies operating in the UK or abroad, particularly in the British Empire, could be used by the German government as part of its broader foreign policy and war effort.
Lord Rothschild, who was head of the counter-sabotage unit at MI5 at the time, ordered some of these investigations. (Factions within these Dark Satanic Networks often blackmail and use one another.)
One branch of the company, Siemens Schukert, with factories in west London, was described in the files as “A Rabid Nazi Cell“, with suspicions German engineers of the firm were involved in intelligence work.
The British branch of the firm was closed down following the start of the war under the 1939 Trading with the Enemy Act.
